Lopburi Highway District 2 (Lam Narai) was originally established as “Lam Narai Section” under Lopburi Highway District, Department of Highways, Ministry of Transport. In 1968, after additional routes were assigned, it was elevated to a full district office under the name “Lam Narai Highway District.” Mr. Thiam Singhchu was appointed as the first District Highway Engineer on December 9, 1968. In 2008, the office was renamed “Lopburi Highway District 2.”

Lopburi Highway District 2 (Lam Narai) is located on Highway No. 2129, Lam Narai Access Section, between Km. 1+305 and Km. 1+459.70.

The office occupies an area of 14 rai, 2 ngan, and 79.60 square wah, located in Lam Narai Subdistrict, Chai Badan District, Lopburi Province.

The total highway network currently under its responsibility is 721.836 kilometers (calculated as two-lane equivalent), categorized by surface type as follows:

- Asphalt surface: 717.034 km.

- Concrete surface: 4.802 km.

A total of 22 highway routes comprising 30 controlled sections are under its supervision:

- 1 principal national highway route

- 1 secondary principal national highway route

- 20 provincial national highway routes

1. Tha Luang Highway Maintenance Unit

Located on Highway No. 2256 (Muang Khom – Dan Khun Thot), Khok–Nong Nam Sai Section, at Km. 4+505, left-hand side of the road, in Ban Tha Luang Subdistrict, Tha Luang District, Lopburi Province.

2. Lam Narai Highway Maintenance Unit

Located on Highway No. 205 (Suranarai Road), Khlong Huai Phai – Lam Narai Municipality Section, at Km. 70+336, left-hand side of the road, in Lam Narai Subdistrict, Chai Badan District, Lopburi Province.

3. Lam Phaya Mai Highway Maintenance Unit

Located on Highway No. 2256 (Muang Khom – Dan Khun Thot), Nong Nam Sai – Pang Ko Section, at Km. 24+130, right-hand side of the road, in Bua Chum Subdistrict, Chai Badan District, Lopburi Province.

4. Bua Chum Highway Maintenance Unit

Located on Highway No. 205 (Suranarai Road), Lam Narai Municipality – Chong Samran Section, at Km. 82+623, left-hand side of the road, in Nikhom Lam Narai Subdistrict, Chai Badan District, Lopburi Province.

5. Khok Charoen Highway Maintenance Unit

Located on Highway No. 2219 (Khok Charoen – Si Thep District), Khok Charoen – Nong Makha Section, at Km. 55+262, right-hand side of the road, in Wang Thong Subdistrict, Khok Charoen District, Lopburi Province.

6. Nong Yang Suea Highway Maintenance Unit

Located on Highway No. 2224, Phra Phutthabat Cluster – Sap Noi Nuea Section, at Km. 22+407, right-hand side of the road, in Nong Yang Suea Subdistrict, Muak Lek District, Saraburi Province.
